January 1, 2005 Columbia County started its next reappraisal under Act 1185 of 1999 which states: Each county in the State of Arkansas shall be required to appraise all market value real estate normally assessed by the county assessor at its full and fair value at a minimum of once every three (3) years. I realize that it is disturbing to the citizens of the county for appraisers to be on their property, however please understand that this procedure is required by the State to implement the Reappraisal.

The Assessor's Office with the help of Arkansas Mass Appraisal Group, Inc. will strive to insure that all values are fair and equitable for Columbia County. If you have any questions or would like information concerning our office or the reappraisal please do not hesitate to call or come by our office.

Don't Forget: Assess Personal and Business Personal between January 1st and May 31st every year to avoid a 10% penalty.
