The County Collector collects taxes for the county and collects municipal, county, school, library and improvement district taxes and turns the funds over to the County Treasurer for disbursement.

Tax books open March 1st and are payable by October 10th of each year. Taxes can be paid in installments. The first installment must be paid by the third Monday in April. The second by the third Monday in July and the final payment made by October 10th. Tax payments must be post marked by October 10th to avoid penalties being applied. Payments may also be placed in the safety deposit box located in front of the Annex Building.
